Sea lion
North pole and zoo
They like to eat fish, they can both live on land and sea,and their skin is in grey or black, they will not hurt human, they are very cute.
They have a tail but different with monkeys, they can do some tricks in th zoo,we can see it in the ocean park, and they have no hair.
We can only keep them in zoo and not in home because our home are too small and not enough for keeping them,so we can’t do it.

Oh…yes.I have gone to zoo when I was 4.The zoo in located Guang Tong.
I meet a very cute animal in the zoo.It is smell,do not like eating meat.
I remember when I saw this animal,I ran to it and try my best to catch it.But the animal ran so far away from me.
We can keep it in Hong Kong.We need to buy a cage for its home.
First,it does not use plenty of place at home.
Second,it does not make the home dirty if you put it in the cage.
Third,it is popular in Hong Kong. Many people can buy it and bring it home.
Can you gets what is this animal??

The animal I have found is the giant panda. They were lived in forest before. They like to sleep and eat bamboos. Almost all the food they eat is bamboos. Pandas’ characteristic is similar to bears, but they do not hibernate in winter. They have got only black and white colours on their bodies. The black hair around their eyes are used to protect themseleves to look more scary. Of course they are not suitable for us to keep at home! But we can still found them at the Ocean Park or other zoos outside Hong Kong.

I have been to Ocean Park in my life. This is a zoo.It was in Hong Kong.I have seen panda inside the zoo.The panda are lived in the panda zone. They live inside that zone and eat bamboo. Also some people had some special sevece to them. They usually live together .That kinds of animal can be find in China. The most special part of this kind of animals than pther is they are being extincted. Also, their fur is black and white ,I think they are more beautiful than other animals. We can’t keep than in the home because the are very big and they eat very much. They can eat a lot of bamboo one day. Also they are national treasures of our country……
I can find the link of (youtube)

I have been to Ocean Park for several times and I love jelly fishes the most.

The skin of them is a little bit invisible, with the spotlight at the back of aquarium, it is so beautiful. They do not have a particular location to live in, they live all over the world. Actually, they do not have bones, so we call them ‘jelly’, it is so special.

However, I do not think it is suitable to keep a jelly fish at home as a pet. It is because the size of it is big and it is hard to look after it without professional knowledge. However, you still can find them in Ocean Park.=]

i ‘ve been to a zoo in mainland, the most impressive animal is lion.

Lions like to live together, they usually live in a plain or forest, they are carnivorous, hunting animlas to eat.they look fiercely and rude. Though i feel scare when i look at the lions but i do hope i can see a lion again. In animals world they are one of the “superanimals”.

i think lions cant be kept in HK,because there arent so much area occupied for the lion and the lions are so rude that accidents might be happened. But i want Hk can keep a lion in the future

I have been to Ocean Park, but I think Guangzhou Changlong Zoo is quite special and amusing. There are a lot of rare animals such as cockroach and monkey. Some of the animals are very huge, some of them are small and lovable.I like them very much.

Panda is my favourite animal. It’s China national treasure.Other countries do not have this kind of animal. It has soft body furry and a pair of black eyes.Very cute! They usually eat the bamboo or vegetables.I thought that they are lazy because they sleep frequently.Sometimes, they do not pay attention to the tourist. Many people want to have them ,including me.

I thought that pandas can be able to live in Hong Kong.I think them may like warm place like Hong Kong.If the country gives a panda to Hong Kong,we certainly will protect him well.It wil feel that we are warmth!

I have never been to any zoos, but I’ve been to aquariums. I like one of the aquariums in Ocean Park. That’s the jellyfish. When you walk into that aquarium, you will feel totally different from outside — it’s mysteric as the strong music and the dark environment, there’re a plenty of mirrors too. I almost lost at the first time I was there. The jellyfish there changes their colours (lighting effect) ! This is unique so I’ve took an short video for them. 😛

Jellyfish live in oceans and seas all around the world, in shallow or deep waters and in some rivers and lakes too. Most jellyfish live in seawaters, some of them in freshwaters. That’s mean in any marine habitats!

They move up and down by contracting the “bell”, the umbrella-like structure. I think it’s amazing! Most jellyfish sting their prey to catch them & eat by bringing the prey from their tentacles to their mouths. I heard that if human touch jellyfish, they will be given a temporary pain just like getting an electric shock. 8) I think it is possible to keep baby jellyfish at home!

I have been to a zoo when I was young. When I was young, my cousin led me to go to the zoo in Panyu China. Maybe I have met some special animals, but I did not remember because I was too young at that time. There have white tigers. They always live in India, Indonesia… They did not scared swimming, in summer time they love swimming very much. They eat a lot; they can eat about 29kg meat for one day.
They were special because there were very little amount in the world now. I think they could not keep them in a zoo in Hong Kong because Hong Kong do not have enough place to keep the white tigers and the pollutions in Hong Kong was very serious so that it may make them sick.

wOw! They were very cutie ar!

Comment by alice2a39

Hong Kong didn’t have many zoos. Maybe Ocean Park is the only place to see some animals which is not a pet.
I have gone to Australia before. As you know, there were many kangaroo. Not only zoo, farm can see some kangaroos were hoping. I saw kangaroos more than I saw dogs or cats in the trip. 😛
I also met some animals such as koala and crocodiles. I can hug them in the zoo (this situation is totally different from Hong Kong). The most interesting thing that was: I thought crocodile’s skin was hard but their skin was absolutely soft, like a cushion. Oh! We can’t keep them as a pet, because they were huge and valuable. They aren’t like dogs. They can’t buy in pet shops. 😀

i have been to a zoo when i was on holiday in Kenting in Hengchun, Pingtung County, taiwan with my family and friends.i first saw penguin there.
the penguin there are not like we see on television. the fur that cover their stomach is not white in colour. besides, they are not obdient. they always hurt the keepers.
those penguin was come from the South Pole. they can only live in an extremely cold weather. that is why they have a lot of fats under their skin and fur.they like to eat fish. they can swim in the sea and they love to swim. so, there is a little area to be a private swiming pool for them .
i don’t think that hong kong is suitable for penguin to live.under the global warming effect, hong kong become hotter aand hotter in summer.i don’t think that penguin can live under Tropical Cyclone Warning Signals !

I have been to not just Ocean Park in Hong Kong but also The Guangzhou Zoo.When I was 8 years old,my parents and grandparents brought me to Guangzhou to have a 10 days holiday, and we have been to the Guangzhou Zoo.There were a lot of animals such as elephant, goat, sheep, buffalo, lion and tiger. The animal that I am going to describ today is TIGER!They usually live in tall mountains or llano. They got a body of camouflage
which can hide themselves completely so they are very good at hunting.Their crural muscles were very strong that can provide tiger a short time sprint but extremely powerful. They are the natural predator in the forest and llano, they look very qute when they were small, like a kitten. But don’t underestimate the power after they grown up,they can be as deadly as dinosaurs!!Some of our parks in Hong Kong kept tigers,we can go and visit them, but don’t try to feed them or even foster them, they are dangerous! They will EAT you!

Watch this for relaxation^^:

I have been to a zoo in my life. Last year, I went to Australia. I met the koala in the zoo that is in Oueensland. Koala always lives in Australia. They eat the leaves for their eating habit. The Koala lives almost entirely on eucalypt leaves. They always go out at night. They live on the trees and we are hard to see them. They have the grey body. They have the black eyes and it is so cute. They have fat and small. The stomach of them is big. They have a thicker coat, much larger ears, and longer limbs. The Koala has large, sharp claws to assist with climbing tree trunks. We cannot keep Them in our home and in the zoo in Hong Kong. It is because Hong Kong has not enough tree and the weather in Hong Kong is different from Australia. They cannot go out at night because it is too bright. The food in Hong Kong is not suitable for them to eat.

Sea angels, also known as clione limacinas, are a kind of pteropod. They usually live in the poles.

They are very small and gelatinous. They only have shells in their embryonic stage. They swim slowly generally but they are able to swim faster than sea butterflies.
They have wing-like flapping appendages which are developed from the feet. As they are mostly transparent, we can see the red digestive organs inside their bodies. They also have tentacles which seem like horns. When they are swimming, they look as if angels who carry warm hearts are dancing.

They can be kept at our homes or in a zoo as they can live in both warm and cold water. Ocean Park Hong Kong has kept about ten sea angels as well.

I have been to the Zoo which is in Thailand, when I am very small on the holiday with my family.
There are many kinds of animals. But, there is one kind of animal I can’t forget it—Butterfly.
In my mind, baetiful and all the people love them. But, after I visit the Butterfly Garden…I don’t think so.
Butterfly is a kind of insect. It can fly everywhere.Butterflies feed primarily on nectar from flowers. They have wings, so they can fly. And they just have a life for a year.
Finally, because they can fly, whenever I saw them I will scream very loud-v-!

I have been to the wild zoo in Guangzhou. Let me introduce to you a special animal.

The name of the animal:
It is called domestic Guinea pig.
Where they usually live:
They usually live in cages with solid or wire mesh floors.
Describe their living habits: (in about 30 words)
They spend a lot of time in activity but few in sleeping. They spend the time randomly and no patterns are appeared. However, they do not like to live with other animals so they will not thrive.
The most special part of them than other animal is: (in about 30 words)
Their sight is poor but their senses of hear, smell and touch are very well. Although the routes of food are complex, domestic Guinea pig still know how to find that. Many people think pigs are stupid animals. In fact, they are extremelly clever.
Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not? (in about 30 words)
I think we can keep them at home or in a zoo. It is because they do not need to live in large place. Their size are small. Moreover, they are very cute and lovely. They exhibit in a zoo so that they can attract lots of visitors.
Have you got any funny videos from youtube showing this kind of animal? (hyperlink)

Yeah, I had been to the zoo in Janpan. That time,I wasn’t only watch the sea lion’s show, also touch them
Aye-aye
The Aye-aye (Daubentonia madagascariensis) is a strepsirrhine native to Madagascar that combines rodent-like teeth with a long, thin middle finger to fill the same ecological niche as a woodpecker. It is the world’s largest nocturnal primate, and is characterized by its unique method of finding food; it taps on trees to find grubs, then gnaws holes in the wood and inserts its elongated middle finger to pull the grubs out.

Daubentonia is the only genus in the family Daubentoniidae and infraorder Chiromyiformes. The Aye-aye is the only extant member of the genus (although it is currently an endangered species); a second species (Daubentonia robusta) was exterminated over the last few centuries.
I think keep a zoo in Hong Kong is not a good idea because Hong Kong is very hot in summer and many animal may get sick. So, I do not argee this idea.

1. The name of the animal:
Koala

2. Where they usually live:
They can only be found in Australia

3. Describe their living habits:

Koalas stay mainly in eucalyptus trees which serve as their habitat. They do not move much from the trees, but spend a lot of their time sleeping and resting in the branches.

4. The most special part of them than other animal is:

They need to spend as long as 16 hours a day sleep. Because they take in very little energy from the eucalyptus leaves. In addition, I think their physical appearance is very cute and lovely.

5. Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not?

We cannot keep them at our home, because it is very big for keeping them at
home. Also, we cannot found their diet easier.

I hadn’t been to any zoo before .

“Polar Bear”is a bear native to the Arctic Ocean and its surrounding seas. Hunting the seals make up most of its diet.Although most polar bears are born on land, it spends most of its time at sea, hence its name meaning “maritime bear”, and can hunt consistently only from sea ice, spending much of the year on the frozen sea.
it has evolved to occupy a narrow ecological niche, with many body characteristics adapted for cold temperatures, for moving across snow, ice, and open water.
We can’t take it to Hong Kong , because it is dangerous and the weather of Hong Kong isn’t suitable to it.

The name of the animal: Chinese White Dolphin
Where they usually live: Along the Chinese coast

Chinese White Dolphins are quite sociable creatures and usually live in small groups of three to four. If they fed up with each other, they will meet other friends.Chinese White Dolphins swim to the water surface to breathe every twenty to thirty seconds and after that, they will dive into deep water again. They sometimes jump out of water and expose their whole body. This behavior, called breaching, is often impressive to human observers. Besides jumping out of water, White Dolphins also come up vertically out of the water, exposing the front half of their body. They have a pair of protruding eyes and they can see clearly in both air and water.

They live in sea but not like fish, they have lung. They jump out and breathe. They will change their body colour when they grow. They like to live in a small group but they will change their members.

Actually, Ocean Park has keep some of them. They will perform in Ocean Park every days.Chinese White Dolphins can keep in Ocean Park because she has the best facilities. We can not feed it at homes.

I have been to a zoo on a hill in Thailand. There are ostriches which I had never seen in Hong Kong before.
The ostriches usually live in desert. They usually eat plants and seeds, they do not eat any meat. But their diet is very interesting: As they cannot chew the food in their mouths, they eat some small stones to help to grind the food in their stomach. Also they do not need to often drink water because they will get the water from some juicy plants.
Although ostriches have are the only kind of wild birds that cannot fly, chickens are different, they cannot fly because humans locked them into cages. Ostriches run very fast on the ground too! They have biggest eggs among the birds, is it because the ratio of body size?
Of course we cannot keep ostrich at home as pet because they are big and they like to run around, a flat cannot provide enough space for them to run around freely. May be a zoo can provide a large area of meadow for them to play.

Funny video of ostrich: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dK_fQeCf1vc
Is the ostrich real?

I have not been to any zoo in my life. However, I have gone to Ocean Park before. There are tons of animals too.

In the park, many special kinds of animals like jelly fish, giant panda and so on. Besides, I have remembered the clever dolphins. They can swim skillfully and play with their trainers happily.

In fact, they cannot keep them in our homes because the dolphins are too large to our home. We have no space to feed them. Therefore, we only can visit them in a zoo.

Lastly, I have found a link which is about the dolphins play with their bubble rings:

I have been to a zoo!! And that zoo is in Guangzhou call “Cheung Lung wild life park.” The most special thing is only this animal zoo have white tigers! White tiger is a kind of animal which is endangered species.

It name is White tiger, they usually live in forest. They usually eat meat as their daily life need. Do you know why their skin is so special? It is because a mutation of Bangladesh, wow! Is it very amazing? White tiger always sleep in the morning and look for food . White tigers may get sickness after mating.

The most special part of them than other animal is the colour of the White tiger’s fur is white. But normally, tigers are usually yellow skin in colour. So White tigers are rare and not common in everywhere.

No! We cannot keep them at home! Otherwise I will not stay here!! XD I don’t think Hong Kong can feed White tigers. It is because White tigers are a kind of wild animal, they cannot get with it.

The link about White tigers: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFecoW8zzVs

They are very cute! XD I like them very much. I saw them when I went to Guangzhou in a restaurant.:-)

I have been to The Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens.I have met Bornean Orang-utan. They are very naughty. They always grasp the cage with their arms and start swinging.XD They come from Borneo (only a few areas in Sabah, Sarawak and Kalimantan). They usually eat Fruit, leaves, birds’ eggs, young birds and small lizards. Arboreal. Diurnal. Solitary for most of their lives, apart from brief periods when mating and when females are raising infants. Rarely leave the trees for the ground, swinging from branch to branch by the powerful hands. Sleep in large nests made with broken branches and foliage.
We must not keep them at home because we can’t provide enough area for them. Besides, they need a dig meal per day. How can we take care of them?
We keep them in the zoo in Hong Kong is better because there are professional to take of them. But the best way is make them free.

Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not?
We can keep in the zoo but we can’t keep at home. Because we don’t know how to keep them is the best. And the zoo has some professional person to keep the sea horse.

I have been some zoos in my live. I have been to Thailand’s zoo and Ocean Park’s zoo. I have met elephants in Thailand and giant pandas in Ocean Park. I think they were very special because not all places can find them.
Elephants were not live in the cage because they were too big. They did not caged by any thing. There had some people who work in the zoo to take care them and do not let them hit the people. We can even ride on the elephants because they were not naughty. The elephants had a special habit that is not very good … They will excrete any where they like. You can see their poo poos anywhere!!! The workers in the zoo will take all their poo poos together so that there was a poo poo mountain next to them. Is it ugly??

About the pandas, I think they were very cute and also lazy. They always sleep and they can did not move for a long time. But when I was a kinder garden student, I go to Ocean Park with my classmates and we saw the panda move and eat lunch also the climb trees!
They can be lively also.

I think cannot put an elephant or a panda in our home because they are too big. It is impossible to put them in our home. And we do not know how to feel them and pat them. They may feel very upset in our home. So if we want to see them happily, we only can go to the zoo.

I have been to Ueno Zoo with my family many years ago. It is in Japan. There are many special animals such as gorilla, echidna, mi-lu etc. But the most profound is polar bear. Before I think that if we want tot see polar bear, we need to go to the North Pole. But I really see the North Pole in Japan.
Polar bear usually live in the North Pole. The polar bear is often regarded as a marine mammal because it spends many months of the year at sea. Its preferred habitat is the annual sea ice covering the waters over the continental shelf and the Arctic inter-island archipelagos. These areas, known as the “Arctic ring of life”, have relatively high biological productivity in comparison to the deep waters of the high Arctic. The polar bear tends to frequent areas where sea ice meets water.
With the exception of pregnant females, polar bears are active year-round, although they have a vestigial hibernation induction trigger in their blood. Unlike brown and black bears, polar bears are capable of fasting for up to several months during late summer and early fall, when they cannot hunt for seals because the sea is unfrozen.
We cannot keep polar bears at home or in Hong Kong because Hong Kong is very hot. They cannot suit the weather in Hong Kong.

For the animals in the zoo, I like giraffe most.
The first time that I saw a giraffe was in Panyu two years ago.
Usually, the giraffe live in nine difference country. They are Angolan, Kordofan, Masai, Nubian, Reticulated, Rothschild, Thornicroft, Southern Africa and West African. And they always live in rare tree grassland and woodland.
For giraffe, they always need to drink water to keep their life. When they eat the food, they need to masticate the food for at least forty times. And also, giraffe are very timid so they always live with about twenty giraffe together.
The most special part of the giraffe than other animal is the giraffe has a very very long neck. And the giraffe has four legs which are very long and thin.
For the giraffe because they are very big and very tall, so we can not keep a giraffe at home. But we can see many difference king of giraffe in the zoo.

I have been to some zoos which are in different countries. Actually, I think the zoos are not common. There are only a few zoos in each country. In the last summer holiday, I went to a zoo in China which called Xingjian Safari Park Guangzhou. There are lots of rare animals. It is really a deep recollection for me.
I remember that I have fed a baby white tiger. It was so cute!! Actually, they live in many countries, so I can see them in China. The white tiger is a lonely meat eater. Each tiger will have their own manor, so they can catch other animals for eat more easily. Their life expectancy is mainly around 10-15 years. If they are fed by people, their life expectancy is around16-20years. I think their diet is very horrible. They can eat about twenty kilogram meat in one meal, and then won’t eat in the coming days. Actually, tiger is not in white color. In fact, white tiger is a mutation animal of Panthera tigris tigris(孟加拉虎). In the world, there are not much white tiger. Also, their fur’s color is very special, so they have a very high view value.

I have been a zoo in Thailand before. There have many elphants, i also tried to ride on them!
Elephants are the large land mammals in the world. They usually live in African Sahara, South Asia and Southeast Asia, Chinese south frontier tropics and subtropics area. The elephant eat glass , bark, leaf. The elephants pull and break off the branch with the long nose, to eradicate the tree, but is also strip naked another some tree’s bark, lets the trees wither.People always say that elephants are afraid of mice, but some scientists do the experiment that put some mice under the elephants, they didn’t care! I think elephants are not suitable for us to keep at home, because they are too big and they need to eat too much food.

I have never been to zoo in my life. But I think monkeys are interesting. The name of the monkeys are spider monkeys. They usually live in tropical forests from Southern Mexico to Brazil. Also, they live in tall trees. Spider monkeys are living in a group, they found food together. They eat fruits and nuts most. They eat the fruits of many big forest trees. But, if food is low, they may eat insects, bark or rotting forest, and honey. The most special part of them than other animal is they use their prehensile tail to walk. They use their prehensile tail to roll at the tree and walk forward. Although they have many kinds of spider monkeys, for example, Ateles paniscus, Ateles chamek, Athles hybridus……, they are dangerous. They may attack human. On the other hand, when they use their prehensile tail to walk, they look like spider, maybe the name is come from it!!! We can’t keep spider monkeys at our home or in Hong Kong because this type of spider monkeys in the world are very little and they may not adapt the weather in Hong Kong.

I have seen a taxidea taxus, american badger before. They live in mid-west of America, north of Maxico and the middle part of Canada. They prefer dry open areas with deep soils that are easy to dig. They are grey and red and have short, powerful legs. They are identifiable by their huge foreclaws(measuring up to 5cm in length). They have few natural predators others than human. But the number of these animals are decreasing because of persecution of farmers.

The animal that I love most are sea lions.

I found it in Ocean Park in Hong Kong.

They live in the sea of North Pole.

Sea lions can go both land and sea. They catch the fish in the sea for food. And they have their rest and sunbathe on the land. They usually go everywhere together.

The most special part of them is they are very clever and they can go both land and sea. Some animals are clever but they can only stay in one area as sea or land. And some animals can go both sea and land but they cannot as clever as sea lion. That’s why I love them. They can do many funny actions after they have been trained.

We cannot put it at our home or a zoo in Hong Kong because they will bite people. The Ocean Park has given them a good environment and enough food for them. But if all the zoos in the world follow The Ocean Park to keep some sea lion, they will damage their normal life.

Yes, I have been to zoos in my life. I was just four or five years old. I went to China with my dad and mum and we went to the zoo over there. I did not meet any special kinds of animals, but I ‘google’ a kind of animal.
The animal which I ‘google’ is green turtle. They usually live in the sea. They ‘work’ even day or night. They can swim very fast in the sea. However, they crawl very slowly. They take rest in the sea. They eat what they like, such as, seaweeds, fish or algae.
They have a special habit. Females would give birth on land. However, after they give birth, they would just leave the land and back to the sea. They do not know who her children are! Since they are always killed by someone, they are listed as the national-level protected animals II. Thus, we cannot keep them at our home.

I have been Ocean Park in Hong Kong(I think it is a zoo).I have been there twice.

The name of the animal:
Jellyfish

Where they usually live:
Of course in the sea.

The live in the sea.Jellyfish (also known as jellies or sea jellies) are free-swimming members of the phylum Cnidaria. They are colourless. They eat the small fish. They only found in fresh water.

The most special part of them than other animal is: (in about 30 words)
Jellyfish are not actually fish. They are non-vertebrate animals. They can not swim very well So they have to use wind to swim. They have no lungs and heats. The use their skin to breathe.

Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not? (in about 30 words)
We can not keep it at home but in the zoo.It is because jellyfish may attrack people and so of them is too big to keep.Just like Ocean Park, it calls Sea Jelly Spectacular.

I have been to zoos but it’s long time ago. About 9 years old, in Guang Zhou.
There are many special animal that I have never seen in Hong Kong but I am not interest in them. I like bird more.
In zoos, some birds we can find it but some we cannot.
I have found gull. They often informally call seagull. Usually lives in family, with grey and white. They eat crabs and small fish. Gulls nest in large, densely packed, and noisy colonies. hey lay two to three speckled eggs in nests composed of vegetation.
Compare with other type of animal, mammals won’t lay eggs but gull will lay three at once. Human and gull are also intelligent animal. Human can think high level and gull also can have high communication and developed social structure.
We can find seagull in wetland but I don’t have too information about it but it may be an endanger animal and protected in Hong Kong. So we can’t keep it at home as an animal because it is an offense.

Last year,we go to Taiwen’s zoo.(one of the Teiwen)In there,I see a lot of different animals!
Just like horse,giraffe,penguin,elephant,etc.

I think penguin is most special in all the animals. And I also like their lovely face. They always caght the fish in the sea, then go back to the land and enjoy it.Beside, sonetimes they will line up be a team to walk there and walk there. But I don’t know what it means for them. They usually live in South Pole,North Pole or other very cold place. They only can live in cold.Otherwise they will die easliy. And they can stay in land or sea, because they are amphibians animal. We must not keep them in our home!As our home’s temperature will not be under zero.So they will die if we keep them at home.I think we also can’t keep it in Hong Kong.Hong Kong is a subtropics place. The temperature is not suitable for them.

How come penguins can fly just like a plane!

I have been to zoos in my life. When I was about five years old I went to a zoo which is in Guangzhou. I have met a kind of animals that is vary special. The animal is called Grus japonensis.
Their mouth, neck and foot are very long. Their whole body is white in colour beside the neck. The top of their head is red in colour.Their sound is very loud.
The most special part of them than other animal is they only used one foot to stand when they sleeping but they will not fall down. I think it is very hard to do this.
We can’t keep them at our homes because it is hard to give them a place to live. But there are some Grus japonensis now in The Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens.

I have been to the zoo with my parents when I am Primary 6. The zoo is located in Taiwan and I have seen some very cute pigs inside the zoo. And there was some performance shown by pigs, they are really clever. =]=]=]

The pigs are usually live in Eurasia. They also live in the forest or zoo in other country. The farmers also keep the pigs as livestock

They are the animals of mammalian. They can eat many things and they like to eat something that is sweet. They always smell the food before they eat it. They eat about 10 times a day.

The pigs are usually very fat and large in size. They are very cute when they are young. Their nose is the most stand out characteristic. Their nose and ears are very big. They eat a large amount of food a day.

We can’t keep them in at our home or in a zoo in Hong Kong because it is very hot in Hong Kong, they may not feel comfortable. They need to eat too much food, we can’t provide for them, especially if we keep them as pet at our home.

I have got funny videos from youtube showing the pigs:

I have been to zoo a few years ago.It was located in Vancouver,Canada.I still remember there had a lot of different kinds of animals that in Hong Kong I ever seen. I took a train to travel round the zoo and I got a deeply memory with a squirrel because I was close with them, even touched them.

A Squirrel:
Squirrel mainly live in forest.
Their Diet
They unlike rabbits or deer, squirrels cannot digest cellulose and must rely on foods rich in protein, carbohydrates, and fat. In temperate regions early spring is the hardest time of year for squirrels, since buried nuts begin to sprout and are no longer available for the squirrel to eat, and new food sources have not become available yet. During these times squirrels rely heavily on the buds of trees. Squirrels’ diet consists primarily of a wide variety of plant food, including nuts, seeds, conifer cones, fruits, fungi and green vegetation. However some squirrels also consume meat, especially when faced with hunger. Squirrels have been known to eat insects, eggs, small birds, snakes and rodents. Ground and tree squirrels are typically diurnal, while flying squirrels tend to be nocturnal – except for lactating flying squirrels and their offspring, who have a period of diurnality during the summer.

The most special part of them than other animal is they are cute and peace. They are not afraid of human, they get alone with human peacefully. And I fed them with some peanuts, thye just tamely to eat and they won’t attack us, it was a interesting experience

I have got funny video from youtube :

It is clever!! >..<

I have never been to any zoo in my life but I think that bat was quite interesting ,so I “google” it.
Bat,they usually live in a cave,a tree hole, or a forest.Bat are mainly divided into two groups, megabats and microbats.
Megabats eat fruit or pollen while microbats eat insects or blood of the animals.
Bat are nocturnality ,describes sleeping during the daytime and being active at night.

The most special part of them than other animal is their classification and the method they catch prey.Bats aren”t insects and birds,in fact, they are mammals. For microbats, they use echolocation to catch prey.

I think that bat cannot keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong because bats are live in the wat and dark condition and they usually live together and there could be one million bats live together, so this is impossible to keep them at home or in the zoo.

Yes, I have been to a zoo in Thailand.
However, I don’t know is it a zoo, but I only know that there are many kinds of animals. I saw a camel inside. They were smelly. They used to live in a desert. They can easily carry an extra 200 pounds while walking 20 miles a day in the harsh desert. It is the only reson why people depend on them for transport across arid environments. They can travel as fast as horses but can also endure legendary periods of time without food or water. That’s make them able to live in harsh desert. The most special part of camel is about their hump. It store fat. The fat may be become energy for them. Camels can last for few months without food or water because of its lump. We may keep that in the zoo of Hong Kong because Hong Kong also has strong sun light as Thailand. If Thailand can keep this kind of animal, I think that Hong Kong do so. I know that camels are came from desert where has very few water suppy and with a poor condition of living. However, their in Hong Kong is much better than desert. So, why can’t camels keep in Hong Kong?

I have been to zoo. That was Ocean Park and it was in Hong Kong. There are a lot of sea animals. Then, I had found an animal which I thought amazing and special.
Sharks are type of fish. They usually lives in sea.Their living habits are they generally do not live in freshwater except for a few exceptions. Sharks are common down to depths of 2,000 metres, and some live even deeper, but they are almost entirely absent below 3,000 metres.
The most special part of them than other animal is their fins. Shark fin is so expensive and precious. As a result, human kill them often and their quantity become lower. I do not think that we keep them in a zoo in Hong Kong. It is because the temperature may not suit for them. And they do not have freedom.

I have never been to any zoos in my life.
I found a special animal, the scientific name is Sorex fumeus, common name is Smoky Shrew.
They usually live in Michigan. This species inhabits northern hardwood and boreal forests with thick leaf litter over loosely packed soils. In Michigan, it has only been documented on Sugar Island along the St. Mary’s River between Ontario and mainland Chippewa County. There it was found in a mesic northern forest dominated by sugar maple. In Ontario, it is also known to inhabit (but doesn’t necessarily prefer) cedar swamps, bogs, and other mixed coniferous forests with saturated soils.
The smoky shrew is a small rodent with an elongated head, pointed nose, tiny eyes, and short dark fur. The tail is two-toned, dark on top and yellowish-tan below. And they are rare and uncertain, you can hardly find them.
We cannot keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong because they need Downed woody debris needed in Mesic northern forest, Boreal forest.
I can’t find the exactly one but you can see a shrew: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BcNkzXct5B4&feature=related

Yes, I have been to zoo in Hong Kong Zoological and Botanical Gardens. It is very big zoo and I thought everyone went to it before .There is many kinds of interesting, cute animals.

I have met many special, cute animals. One of them is Red-crowned Crane. They usually live in marshes and swamps.

In the spring and summer, the Red-crowned Crane breeds in Siberia.Normally the crane lay 2 eggs, with only one surviving. Later, in the fall, it migrates in flocks to Korea, Japan, China, Taiwan, and other countries in East Asia to spend the winter.

When it matures, the Red-crowned Crane is snow white with a patch of red skin on its head. This patch of skin becomes bright red when the crane becomes angry or excited.

Yes, we can keep them in a zoo in Hong Kong. Because Hong Kong has some marshes and swamps, such as Wet Land Park .Also Hong Kong’s weather is very warm, so it is suitable for Red-crowned Crane to live in Hong Kong.

Dolphins
They are found worldwide, mostly in the shallower seas of the continental shelves, and are carnivores. Dolphins are considered to be amongst the most intelligent of animals and their often friendly appearance and seemingly playful attitude have made them popular in human culture. we cannot keep them at our homes, but we can them in zoos, They vary in size from 1.2 m and 40 kg , up to 9.5 m and 10 tonnes .They are too big to us to keep them at our home. they better live in sea.

1. The name of the animal:
Kangaroo
2. Where they usually live:
they lived in australia
3. Describe their living habits:
The Red Kangaroo (Macropus rufus) is the largest surviving marsupial anywhere in the world. The Western Grey Kangaroo (Macropus fuliginosus) is slightly smaller,It is found in the southern part of Western Australia, South Australia near the coast, and the Darling River basin. The Antilopine Kangaroo (Macropus antilopinus) is, essentially, the far-northern equivalent of the Eastern and Western Grey Kangaroos
4. The most special part of them than other animal is:
Many species are nocturnal and crepuscular , usually spending the days resting in shade and the cool evenings, nights and mornings moving about and feeding. The silica in grass is abrasive, so kangaroo molars move forward as they are ground down, and eventually fall out, replaced by new teeth that grow in the back.
5. Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not?
we cannot keep them at home because they are so large and they need a big place as grass ground for their movement. Even the zoos in Hong Kong are not enough big for them too.

Yes,I’ve been to zoo.The zoo is located in Thailand,Chiangmai.
1. The name of the animal:
Elephant
2. Where they usually live:
Africa and Asia
3. Describe their living habits:
As larger patches of forest disappear, the ecosystem is affected in profound ways. The trees are responsible for anchoring soil and absorbing water runoff. Floods and massive erosion are common results of deforestation. Elephants need massive tracts of land because, much like the slash-and-burn farmers, they are used to crashing through the forest, tearing down trees and shrubs for food and then cycling back later on, when the area has regrown. As forests are reduced to small pockets, elephants become part of the problem, quickly destroying all the vegetation in an area, eliminating all their resources.
4. The most special part of them than other animal is:
Compear with other land animals, elephants are larger and it got a long nose.It have big ears.
5. Can we keep them at our homes or in a zoo in Hong Kong? Why or why not?
We cannot keep them at our homes because we don’t have a larger area to keep it and it need leave to eat,we don’t have that many leave that it need.

They live in primary rain forest, they always live in small family groups. Twin births are usual. The males and other siblings play a major part in rearing the babies. Shelter in tree hollows. Just give them insects, fruit, small lizards, frogs, birds’ eggs and small birds, then they can live.

I have never been to any zoos before. But I have find the interesting animal.

The name of the animal is dolphin.

They usually live in the sea. The adult’s body length is about 200 – 350 centimetres and the infant’s body length is about 1 metre. The average weight of an adult is around 150 to 230 kilograms.

The most special part of them than other animal is one of the animal who are being on the verge of death or great danger. In this moment, there are only not more than 100 dolphin.

We cannot keep the dolphin at our home but we can see the dolphin in the ocean park. There are two or three dolphins there. So,we can also see them in HK!`

I have ever been to a zoo on my life. It was in the Guangzhou wild animals’ zoo. The special kind of animals I met is a giraffe. They usually live in Africa. They usually eat the leaves and it can eat about 63kg of leaves. They will use their legs to kick other animals to protect themselves.

The special part of a giraffe is they have a long neck and long legs. The long neck can help them to eat the leaves on the tree. It has a good sight. They can see the things for 1km. These special things can help them to protect themselves.

I cannot keep them at our home but we can keep it in a zoo in Hong Kong. Our home don’t have so tall to keep them. We can keep it in a zoo in Hong Kong because it is tall enough to keep them.

Giraffe is an interesting animal. It is fun to look at them. I hope to go to the zoo again for the next time.

Comment by Wong Hang Tat /.\

The Giant Panda lives in a few mountain ranges in central China, in Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces. It once lived in lowland areas, but farming, forest clearing, and other development now restrict the Giant Panda to the mountains. The Giant Panda may eat other foods such as honey, eggs, fish, yams, shrub leaves, oranges, and bananas when available. China has 239 Giant Pandas in captivity and another 27 living outside the country. It also estimated that around 1,590 pandas are currently living in the wild.there is not enough certainty to remove the Giant Panda from the endangered animal list.I think I can not keep them at home because they are endangered animal. But I will go to the Ocean park and see the Giant Panda.I hope the International Union for Conservation of Nature can remove the Giant Panda from the endangered animal list.

The fire skink is one of the most beautiful skinks in the world. It has a wide gold/brown/tan stripe down it’s back with bright red sides interspersed with white and black striped lines along the sides, and black legs. The characteristic of it is its red beautiful skin and its size is a little bit smaller than the normal because of its habitat. But infortunately I think that I can not keep this kind of animal in my house.First,I don’t have any money to buy them, even one!Second, how can I find the food to feed it?I don’t know!!Third,my house is small and I cannot buy a box or cage for it to live in.Finally and it’s the most important,I don’t like small animal…^_^
