My Christmas preparation in Hong Kong

Hi guys! Bad news this year…… My husband and I won’t go back to France for Christmas…… :-( I miss all my lovely French-in-laws, French Christmas parties all-day every day during Christmas! :-( Sigh……

To compensate me, my husband suggested decorating our home ‘Christmas-lious-ly’ in Hong Kong this year. We are going to buy a 6-feet tall Christmas tree for our living room today! Hurray! I’m so excited! (but he’s still sleeping in the bed this afternoon now! >,< I hope he hasn't caught any flu/cold!)

You are all welcomed to be my Santa Claus this year! Let me show you my door first! (Look for this door and you can treat or rob me here! :-P ) Check this out:

Instead of burning down the house, I would decorate it for Christmas! But I feel like listening to this song to relax a little and give me some positive energy. Let’s ‘burn’ it down for a while and see how you feel! Check this out:

Joke of today …… the awful sea gull

Do you still remember why I hate sea gulls so much?! :-P

A Revenge (from Saint Malo)

A ‘hungry sea gull’, ‘whatever’ bird, high up in the ‘blue’ sky was chasing a flock of ‘tourists’.

They ‘visited’ and ‘toured around’ as they flew ahead ‘to France’.

Suddenly it swooped down to the ’shore’ and greedily seized a magnificent ‘cake’ in its hook-like ‘beak’!

The ‘Hong Kong girl’ ‘became angry’ as she watched!

Now the whole flock of ‘tourists’ wheeled and turned, still ‘taking pictures’

-an amazing sight to see- :-P

and darkening the sky with their ‘umbrellas’, :-P

closed up into a ‘beach’ and mobbed the ’sea gull’ driving it ahead of them,

until overwhelmed by their fury and the sheer weight of its load, it ‘poisoned’, dropping the ‘cakes’

into the ‘English Chanel’ below and fled to the cover of … ‘heaven’.

20th aniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall today!

The fall of the Berlin Wall signifies the fall of Communism in the East Germany. Once separated, democracy made it united.

You may not care so much about Germany, but Berlin has always been ‘the one’ of my favorite European city. It is a city full of history as well as modern cultures and technology. Despite the cold weather in winter, there are always marvelous art, music, dance, movies and exhibitions to warm our heart up. (I even once thought that I might marry a German guy and live there for some time of my life! :-P but now it turns out to be French guy in HK!!)

Hi everybody! How’s your uniform test going? Are you handling it well? I’m sure you all can!

My health status fluctuated on and off last month. Luckily, I’m feeling much better now. I’m sorry if you’ve found no new post when you visited my blog recently. :-|

Hey, I’m really interested in how you guys are doing in your first uniform test! For those who have participated in the Speech Festival, are you ready to make your glorious splash in the competition? May I know your competition date? I can go to support if you let me. :-D

Keep in touch!

Cheers

Kissing you from Romeo and Juliet (1996)

From time to time, I always watch the Love at First Sight scene of Romeo and Juliet on Youtube. Each of their dialogues is a piece of literature. I wish I could speak like that. :-P Meanwhile, the background music is so sweet. The scene then ends with this beautiful poem: (It is when they find out they are the son and daughter of two enemy families.)

Then Juliet, seeing Romeo leaving, whispered quietly to herself on the balcony:

My only love sprung from my only hate!
Too early seen unknown, and known too late!
Prodigious birth of love it is to me,
That I must love a loathed enemy.

Here is the song ‘Kissing you’:

Lyrics:

Pride can stand a thousand trials,
The strong will never fall

But watching stars without you,
My soul cries.

Heaving heart is full of pain,
Oh, oh, the aching.

‘Cause I’m kissing you, oh.
I’m kissing you, oh.

Touch me deep, pure and true,
Gift to me forever

‘Cause I’m kissing you, oh.
I’m kissing you, oh.

Where are you now?
Where are you now?

‘Cause I’m kissing you.
I’m kissing you, oh.

Fashion by Lady GaGa & the movie Shopaholic

One of my big expenditure is always fashion. I’m so into fashion especially dresses. I’m not too crazy about shoes but I can’t keep my eyes off “stilettos”, normally with crazy narrow (at least 3 to 4 inches!) heels!! :-P Recently I always switch to Fashion TV as there are lots of 2010 fashion week shows around Europe (like Milan, Paris, London), New York and Tokyo!

Before I show you some gorgeous fashion shows, let’s listen to how Lady GaGa sings about her madness on fashion of the movie Shopaholic and some world-class famous fashion designers. These are the music videos of the movie Shopaholic shown earlier this year. Check it out:

The Shape of my Heart by Backstreet Boys

All the thanks to Yvonne, Backstreet Boys have come on air here! This boy group was one of the boy groups that I chased after in all the music programmes on MTV and Channel [V] every weekend when I was a teenager! My eyes were always on tall and cute guys. (I was already 170cm tall when I was 11! Westerners are always taller! :-P You know…… :-P ) Guess which one I like most! Tell me your preference too!!

Um…… why would I choose this songs, the Shape of my Heart? It is because the lyrics of this song can show you how I feel for my students, especially in these verses:

` Chorus:
` Looking back on the things I’ve done
` I was trying to be someone
` I played my part, kept you in the dark
` Now let me show you the shape of my heart
`
` Send in this beautiful loneliness that’s tragical
` So help me I can’t win this war, oh no
`
` I’m here with my confession
` Got nothing to hide no more
` I don’t know where to start
` But to show you the shape of my heart…
`
` I’m looking back on the things I’ve done
` I never wanna play the same old part
` I’ll keep you in the dark
` Now let me show you the shape of my heart

Let’s give it a ‘click’!

Do you know the shape of my heart now? :-D

Hurray! It’s over! Wake me up when September ends! :-P

All the thanks to everyone of you, my stressful and horrible September is gone now! Hurray! It’s all over for now. I just replied all the comments too. Great! I’m happy. There’s not much to worry. :-)

This following song is ‘Wake me up when September ends’ by Green Day. It’s about a summer love story, which has to ends when September, the time for the man who needs to go for the army training, ends.

To me, it’s great to have my last stressful September ends. However, to you all, as students, when your honeymoon month of the academic year, September, ends, that means it’s time to be serious to focus on your new year study targets. Hence, we won’t regret when it’s too late. Work hard everybody!

This is a Japanese comic version. The original one bears the copyright and can’t be embed here. Check this out:
